Inauguration of LIS Academy and one day Year-End discussion on “Newton’s first law of librarians: Pushing Libraries to the Future” on 31st December 2016 at 10 a.m. in Bangalore. The Inaugural Function of LIS Academy was held in City Central Library Auditorium, RPC Layout, Bangalore on 31st December 2016, 10.00 am. The One Day Seminar was also organised as Year End discussion on “Newton’s first law of librarians: Pushing Libraries to the Future”. The program was attended by more than 300 participants. Dr.Satish Kumar Hosamani, Director, Department of Public Libraries, Bangalore, Prof. H.A.Ranganath, Former Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University, Former Director of NAAC, Prof. TD Kemparaju, Professor of Library & Information Science, Bangalore University were the guests who has blessed the occasion.
